I'm in the 'purple palace' again tonight (Premier Inn) as I've been to see my Mum. I bruised my right foot a few days ago (unbelievably, from wearing some new (and not very flexible) shoes). But my foot seemed better today so I brought my sports gear with me. And went for a walk in the rain this evening - and got very wet!! :) I managed 5 mls and the foot seems fine at the moment. I think I shall have to 'flex' these new shoes quite a bit with my hands before trying to wear them again. And this week, they had a reasonable amount of choices at the Waitrose at Oxford Services. So I've had a chicken and pasta meal and fruit to follow - better than an unhealthy meal at Beefeater with beer and a naughty pudding ;)

Braved the scales today as Friday has always been my weigh in day. The midweek weight was obviously a blip and showing 2lb off today so pretty much back to where I have been hovering lately.

Time to start seeing a downward movement again

Good to hear Moo hope things are a bit easier for you soon.

Well done on buying in rather than beefeatering Mel, ouch re shoes but well done for getting out for a really good walk. Hope your mum is doing well.

I put half on when I weighed last week but had been away with work for 2 days so I have weighed today and 1lb down. It’s the right direction so won’t complain but 1lb in a month isn’t great. Must get a grip.

Just reading back and sorry I thought I had said soeey to hear about your cat Poppy, our pets are such a big part of our lives.

And also good that you are going in the right direction Scribbler. It’s hard not to want to waste food I have started to keep any leftovers for lunch next day but sometimes it’s there and so tasty it doesn’t happen. The poke bowl sounds lovely something I say I’ll do but never get round too.

can anyone recommend a small secure container for taking food to work in a rucksack?
I'm currently taking sandwiches

when I was driving some days I would take in extra lunch and put it in the work fridge but I run all days now - was thinking about taking some bean salad for a change but don't want leaks!!

I used to take soup to work in this type of bowl EvilPixie, I popped it into a plastic bag as well for more security but never had any leaks walking with it, didn’t test with a run though.
