I do feel weight is a number and it’s more about health and how you feel. If you’re healthy and heavier that has to be better than skinny but unhealthy - I have a friend she’s got a stunning size 10 figure, very athletic build but doesn’t do much exercise and has a very unhealthy diet as she just doesn’t put weight on. She got a fright a while ago that the heart palpitations were due to said lifestyle.

You’re right, GG, it’s much more complex than heavy = unhealthy, slim = healthy.

I am feeling a benefit from the recent changes….. I feel a bit more agile than I was, I think I’m moving quicker. That is partly about weight as there is less of me to move around, but also about improvements in muscle strength, coordination and balance as a result of the exercise.

I’ve been a reconstructed gym bunny for 4 whole weeks now and I’m feeling great!

I found it by clicking on the number and the bottom said trends history and settings, obviously depends on your scales/app but I hadn't noticed it before despite saying it would be nice to have the history.

My scales I have two sets as we used to live in large house and my newer ones withings do limited data.Yet my Tatana which are about ten years old do a lot more but manual no app or wifi etc.So I may go and weight on old scales for my viseral fat number.

I do think it is about being healthy and how you feel.I just lost 9lbs in three weeks as grieving over my cat passing away suddenly, you would think great news which it is But my strength as gone we had to reduce weights at weight training PT session and he was shocked by how much strength I lost. But it is more important for me to get a healthy BMI and then try to increase the weights.

Oh so sorry WP. That is a lot to lose in 3 weeks. Understandable that the PT and yourself wanted the weights reduced. You will get it back I’m sure.

My scales give me weight, body fat, body water and a calculated bmi. But they were cheapish so they're not connected to WiFi or any app. So I just remember the figures on my way from the bathroom to the bedroom where I log the figures in OneNote on my phone.

I always say I'm not exactly bothered about what weight I am. But things like struggling to get out if the car sometimes makes me aware life would be a lot easier if I could shift some of the excess fat around my middle.

I would also say I don't have a problem with my body image. Sure - I would prefer to see a leaner version in the mirror. But the extra poundage doesn't get me down. Just like above, I know losing some weight would mean my knees would thank me :)

Forgot to say ..

Don't forget to keep your screenshots of weight readings to yourself! Don't do what one lady did. She posted a photo of her scales reading, displaying the great results from her diet. Forgetting the camera position meant it saw what she would have preferred be kept hidden ;) :)
