Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Evening all. I have definitely been feeling my glutes today. Going up and down (especially down) steps causes an ouch, but is doable. Sitting down has to be done quickly, because a controlled descent uses those muscles, and the less I use them, the better. That said, I plan to go to the gym tomorrow. Carefully.

Today’s exercise has been limited to walking and a bit of on-the-spot jogging. I use an Apple Watch, which gives you daily targets for active calories (above and beyond simply existing), exercise minutes (exertion of at least the level of a moderate walk) and stand hours (hours in which you stand up and move around for at least one minute). It counts steps and distance, but doesn’t allow you to set targets for them. Today I just need another 50 active calories, but that hardly requires any effort at all because sitting in a chair rather than lying in bed adds some. If necessary I will jog on the spot while the kettle boils.

Today’s food so far:-

Breakfast was oat and chia seed porridge with blueberries

Lunch was sausage, oven chips and peas (I know…l’m mostly cooking from fresh, but still using some processed stuff, cos who likes a puritanical perfect eater?) followed by raspberries and blueberries with natural yogurt. And 4 squares of Cadbury’s dairy milk - that’s the last of the Christmas chocolate gone.

And for tea I’ve just had leek and potato soup with a slice of granary bread and butter, some flavoured yogurt and an orange.

If I have a snack later, it will be a slice of rye bread with Boursin cheese. And I’ll try to not raid the few remaining biscuits and mini chocolate bars in the cupboard. Or the crisps. Definitely not the crisps.

It's taking me all my will power not to raid the fridge and cupboard tonight, just as well OH is cooking so I can stay out of the kitchen. A stupid bitch is totally over reacting to something so trivial. Trying to keep out of it but it is making me so angry!

Weigh in. The 1lb I lost last week has returned. ☹️
Last week I walked 33mile/ ran 13mile.

Ate no chocolate.

Last week I was disappointed this week I'm pretty pissed off. 😠
Onwards and upwards. Well hopefully downwards. 🤔
Good luck everyone else. 👍

I've just cancelled my gym class as I've had a really bad night. It's an intense one and I really don't have the energy. Besides I can hear cars struggling to get out of the street with the snow and ice!

I managed to keep it together last night, just having a small g&t while watching Vera. Decided I wasn't going to let some stupid random sabotage all my efforts!

1.65lbs off this week making 14.66lbs in total and 4 weeks today till we fly off to Spain 🌞
