I’m not in BSD but I tend to have breakfast lunch and main meal I rarely snack. I fast by default we’ll eat around 8pm and I rarely have breakfast before 10.

Mid week after evening meal I drink water or maybe a cordial but weekend it is wine and then we may have crackers and cheese but even that is rare.

Weekends more often than not are only 2 meals.

Yesterday I had a slice of toast about 11.30 and nothing until the curry I made for dinner which was cooked from scratch and very low fat with vegetable based curry sauce with steamed rice. We shared a bhaji and samosa.

Today will be poached eggs on toast and dinner tonight.

Sneaky step on scales say the weight is slightly down and stable all week which is good to see after the past few weeks of been up & down

Today's food consumption will be up as we're having a treat for Mother's Day - a three course meal takeaway from a really nice French restaurant in town :-) I stood on the scales first thing this morning, and I was 9st on the nose, so tomorrow I'll know that any gain is just a blip. I hope ;-)

One thing I've noticed since losing weight, is a tendency to experience a brief spell of giddiness when I get up from sitting down after lunch. I'm currently checking my blood pressure regularly at the request of my GP (annual review purposes, I've taken Losartan daily for years), so I know it's generally in the 'normal to mild hypertension' range so possibly that's a bit lower than I've been used to and that's the reason. I'm hoping the giddiness will settle soon.

That is a common side affect of the BSD, LD. I haven't really suffered from it this time but I had occasional bouts when I lost weight on it last time. I think our weekly pizza and occasional deviations from the plan are helping avoid it; the downside is that weight loss is slower.

I made some keto scotch eggs this morning - boiled eggs wrapped in sausage meat and rolled in almond flour mixed with flaxseed, baked for 30 minutes. Some recipes use parmesan. I had one after my run and it was very good. The sausage meat is excellent, from a local farm shop. I buy it for sausage rolls at Christmas and always get a couple of extra sleeves to put in the freezer. It was a happy find yesterday :)

Yum, I love Scotch eggs! As soon as we're back at the seaside I shall get some sausage meat from the excellent butcher's shop there and make those - thanks GM.

They are a little bit messy to make, having to mould the sausage meat round the eggs, but so worth it and they do us for 3 meals each (6 eggs in total). One of my favourite low carb recipes.

Early weigh-in this morning. Despite that 3 course meal last week I'm still down a pound week on week. Just 2lbs to go to my target :-)

Thanks! Last night, not week! Huge asparagus tart as a starter, a roast lamb dish plus two types of potatoes +veg and a choux pastry/praline/hazelnut cream pud must have sent my blood sugar soaring :-0
