Rosehip
Just stepped on the scales - no change for me this week.

So frustrating, but at least it's not a gain

It is hugely frustrating isn't it RH. But as you say, no loss is better than a gain.

Good morning

2lb loss for me this week, which takes me just into the next weight bracket, and also gives me my first half a stone loss (actually 7.5lbs).

I did step on the scales again when I came back from my run and was another pound lighter but am not going to take that this week.

Great work, Moodle! You're on a roll! ;)
Rosehip - maybe you'll get a bigger loss next week.
It is so much harder for us 'more mature' ladies though. Don't lose heart - you'll get there xx

Bravo all losers!

Hopping on the scales this morning to see that I'm 1kg up from where I started. A good kick to stop the rot and focus again. (Also semi-hoping it's just pre-menstrual gain...)

Well done MM you are doing so well.

I’ve also stayed the same, while I’m glad it’s not a gain I had hoped for a small loss this week but then of course we did have a couple of high cal meals at the weekend so my efforts this week may come next.

RH it is disheartening when you’ve tried, but I like to think even if I don’t see a result I know I’ve given my body good nutrition and that has to count for a lot.

As SW says it’s definitely harder as we get to that certain age. I can’t blame peri menopause, I went through that 13yrs ago with my ovaries removed but I can say it’s only the last 18m I’ve managed to get my weight back to a happy place so if that is affecting you it may well make weight loss harder.

I had a great book called balancing hormones naturally it helped me a lot as I couldn’t have HRT it had some great info in it.

It's disheartening but we know this isn't a linear process and so many things can affect the daily figure.

I might start weighing daily but taking the seven day average.

That's a very good loss, MM; you must be thrilled.

It does seem that we are more often seeing a fortnightly loss rather than a weekly one, especially if you don't have a lot of surplus to lose. No loss one week and, like Mandy, 2lb the next, so averaging a lb a week, which is a reasonable loss. Maybe we should start looking at our loss pattern differently so we don't get disheartened.

I didn't deserve to lose last week, but now I am in the next weight bracket it has inspired me to not go back up, so that is going to take some being good as I am only .25 of a pound below. I will be happy when I am in that bracket before I go to bed (yes I weight at night and in the morning !! )
