I remember that light-headed feeling well, FDNB - my mum and dad used to have one of the long Post Horns and we used to blow it occasionally for fun. It was hard work but very amusing

Yes, not being a trumpet player I didn’t realise the 4? or more harmonics you’d need to play. I struggled on the flute to get the higher pitches but the small amount of practice ended up helping.
Impressive range of instruments!
I’ve dabbled with recorders, flute, clarinet, organ, sax, piano, keyboard and violin.

JCB - at one point I thought I wanted to teach high school band many years ago. I changed my mind. I was lucky to have my spare period at school at the same time as beginner band so used that time to learn more instruments!
Occasionally I was used to help others with their problems on clarinet, coach others on timing of hard bits in our band repertoire.
