I loved learning new instruments! It was loads of fun. One year, I brought a french horn home for a month during the exam period so had plenty of time to tootle around on it. :)

Now the dust has settled on The Trap, I'd better get cracking on the B-side so it can be in the shops by Christmas.

Chariots of Fire seems to be the popular choice. I note Old Croc's request for "Going Home". Perhaps that can be next on the list after CofF (I wonder if Mark Knopfler does any running/swimming/cycling...)

I'll have a read back through the last week of posts and see who else expressed an interest in joining us, but if anyone else is interested, and/or to save me some reading, please do let me know if you would like to play - including what instrument(s) and roughly what level. I'm determined to get some ukulele in this time around! Just to reiterate what has hopefully come across in various comments and blogs - all are welcome, regardless of standard.

It would also be helpful to know if there's anything that could make things easier this time around in terms of backing track, downloading/uploading files etc.

I had better get practising again and learn how to listen to the backing track while playing! Can't wait for the music to drop.

I've got an alto sax but not played since Uni 20ish years ago. I can play descant recorder though if anyone wants school flashbacks.

Still in: oboe rusty Grade 8, cello furiously practising Grade 6 (although you will be aware from your editing last time that Grade 6 cello can sound pretty ropey).

Please not loads of flats! I think you said CoF had 5, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would struggle with that (particularly with cello). Can it be transposed? The backing tracks, uploads, downloads etc. all worked brilliantly for me last time.

Also if you need any help with scores/transcription etc. I'm pretty adept with MuseScore :-)

Edj, I’m a little surprised, but incredibly pleased, that you’re happy to put yourself through all this again. 😀

Maybe an album in the new year, followed by an Autumn tour?

I kind of wanted the challenge of flats tbh, but whatever the group decide.
