The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
I'd love to learn a brass instrument. I've done piano, strings (cello) and woodwind (oboe) so have a gap. What's best to go for if you want to make a tolerable noise reasonably quickly?
French horn probably makes the least worst sound... I remember my beginning years of playing the oboe and tenor sax...was told I sounded like a dying duck! I didn't put the garbage out for several weeks, I was that miffed!
It can be...it's hard to say. Also its mouthpiece is quite small though it's not too hard to get a reasonable sound on it.
I'd find trombone rather challenging with the different positions for the pitches...though handy if you have a good ear...and a long arm for seventh position is a bit of a reach!
I took trumpet lessons in my last year of school because I had passed all my exams but was too young for uni. I was always flat. However, I had the edge on the rest of the school band becayse i knew I was flat. They made me first trumpet ๐๐
Iโve remembered we do have one โmusicalโ instrument in the house. I donโt know what it is, we bought it as it was a nice thing to hang on the wall ๐
