Maybe I’ll give that a go 😅 I didn’t know you could play a tune on it, I presume the different notes come from the player’s breath then, like when you sing (I don’t know the correct terminology).

My trumpet teacher used to play one of those things! FDNB, the different notes are harmonics from the base note...and are fiendishly hard to play unless your lip is very well developed! (Mine isn't!)

and the different harmonics are achieved by faster air flow through a smaller lip aperture. really fast air and really small aperture = reall high notes!

It’s sort of a bit like whistling. The harder you blow and the tighter your lips the higher the note. You also use your tongue in a kind of “ta-ta-ta” type of motion to separate the notes.
