Trumpet shouldn't mangle the flute embouchure too much. I've played both in the past and am now starting to get back trumpet and flute.

@Alice Navidad I was playing both initially as I was still in the orchestra with oboe, and there didn't seem to be any problem. I'm very much an amateur though, so I guess it would depend on what level you were playing at.

I bought a saxophone (alto, Jupiter) on Vinted, a few hours after my concert on Saturday. (I should have it in my hands by Thursday.) The band recently asked me to take up the sax so I can also take part in the big band, and as I'm stepping back from rehearsals for a while now seemed like a good time to get up a few grades.

Great to be diversifying - really opens up your options for ensemble-playing. Have fun!

How exciting! Best wishes for enjoying the saxophone. Plus how fabulous to have that new shiny instrument feeling.
