Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

FLStudio is good, I bought a life time license about 20 years back for it (two figure sum), and it's evolved beyond belief. It's got a try for free option.

I posted about joining the new Witney Guitar Club a few pages back.

We’ve just got our gig which will be at Stanton Harcourt Beer Festival later this month.

We’ve been asked to play for an hour which will just about exhaust our current repertoire.

I’m really looking forward to this as it’s going to be a fairly laid back affair providing background music rather than a concert.

Good luck with the beer festival ER, our band is playing at Devizes beer festival this Saturday. I’m hoping for a break in the rain!

No beer festivals for me, but Coleshill Town Band played at the Mayor's Service yesterday, and have a country show and Warwickshire Bands in the Park lined up for later in the month. Anyone who's fancied having a go at brass playing, I'd thoroughly recommend it, particularly if you already play a wind instrument. Progress has been really rapid, and I like the band movement ethos of supporting new players. This time last year I'd just taught myself a few notes on a tenor horn. I've had trumpet lessons since Autumn (somewhat sporadically) and am now probably towards Grade 5 standard which opens up a lot of ensemble options.

I’m tempted to try another instrument - do you find trumpet playing messes with your embouchure for playing your oboe? (I think I’m remembering correctly that you’re an oboist!)
I’d love a go at a brass instrument or failing that, a fiddle!
