I just looked on Internet to see if shop was still open. They call them Reuse shops and there's a separate drop off point at the recycling centre for goods suitable for resale.

Vinted still going well. Another 2 parcels off today 👍 I am loving that other people will use stuff I no longer use. Mostly clothes, but some jewellery and other bits.

I've just been through that drawer in the kitchen as well as the shelf under the coffee table. I'd forgotten just how good it feels to get rid of stuff.

I've got the decorator in this week. He's painting the kitchen, dining room and bedroom 3. I've been emptying stuff from the wardrobe, mostly come from my Mum's/grandparents which I've never manage to get rid of yet. He likes buying stuff from charity shops and selling on Ebay. He's looked at quite a bit of it and reckons he can sell it for me so I'll be de-cluttering quite a bit there. I'll also have quite a haul for the charity shop.

alpenrose - having a decorator that will also help you declutter is a bonus 😉

This is an interesting article:
theguardian.com

One of my main problems is that I spend much of my time with blinkers on to the clutter, then occasionally I'll open my eyes and realise I can't stand another minute of the mess. I think a regular scout around with eyes open, asking some questions, would help.

Yes, that describes me too. I’m blind to it until one day I’m not, and then I’m overwhelmed.

I’ve just taken the Christmas decorations down though and the living space looks so much less cluttered already!

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
