Somne potential decluttering happening next weekend: there was an appeal on the local Freegle for cases, trunks, large boxes and similar containers. I have several such, and hopefully they will be collected on Saturday.

I'm resting before an evening race this afternoon, and decided to tackle the wardrobes. There must be scope for thinning out my non-sports clothing (not even thinking about the running and cycling kit at the moment). Formal skirts and jackets in particular.

Nope. I'm letting a few blouses that don't suit me go to the charity shop, threw out loads of scraggly coathangers, and did some rearranging, but I could and would wear all of those skirts and jackets, even the ones that are older than my children.

I need to bite the bullet with the bookshelf and get rid of all the running books that I bought before GPS watches and chip timing were standard.

'could' and 'would' are dangerous words.

I'm not scared of 'could' and 'would', though 'should' deserves short shrift :P

I've been going through my old vest tops and cutting them into rages for cleaning. Win win.

I'm itching to go though hubby's tee shirts as he's got some over 10-15yrs old which look knackered, but he's sentimental about these, ahhh!

My three containers were collected today, hooray! One case, one collapsible plastic box and one ancient but very strong wooden box.

Or make them into a blanket. Blue Peter had a make last week: turn a T-shirt into a shopping bag.

Help advice and support for declutterers

Special May Challenge

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
