I like the 5 things a day idea, or to spend 5 mins per day decluttering which isn't too overwhelming

Went to de-clutter a cupboard and came across a box file of race results from pre-internet days, when you need to leave an SAE to get your results. Of course this blew the de-cluttering exercise right off course as I went through the pile of yellowing paper and faded print.
And what a treat it was. Not so much to see my own times but seeing the names of runners that I recognise from the local circuit now running in my own V60(ish) category. The takeaway was how good they were and how mediocre I was. However, I seem to have closed the gap, especially over the 5K distance.
Perhaps they all took up smoking late in life!

...or maybe you have persisted with training more conscientiously than they have, jb62.

Spent a half term day decluttering my classroom and putting up displays. It looks lovely! My house, on the other hand ...

So after spending time sorting the garage out for a playroom the door (side door) broke and isn't safe to keep opening and closing, so no playroom for now

I sorted a bin liner full of clothes from my drawers yesterday. I’d forgotten how good it feels to get rid of things.

I had a second go at decluttering/tidying the understairs cupboard. Got rid of a big bag of coats we haven’t used in ages and discovered three bottles of champagne right at the back. They’re non-vintage, but must date back to Oddbins days and an irresistible special offer, so getting on a bit. They’ll get decluttered over the next couple of months (don’t trust the corks, so no point keeping them any longer). 🥂

I opened a very old bottle of champagne recently and was delighted to discover that it had aged beautifully. Sometimes it's worth taking the cork out just to find out

When I said the bottles would get decluttered, I meant after they’d been opened and emptied, one way or another! They were lying down, so hopefully they’ll be okay, but even in proper cellars corks can start to fail and these have been in an under stairs cupboard (not ideally cool) for over ten years. So I’ll be crossing my fingers whilst pulling the corks. Thanks, though, it’s good to hear yours was delicious. 🥂
