Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've done enough to count the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th!
5th - hair bands (multiple counts as 1) a chewed doll, general mess off bedside table, plastic bags (recycling) out of date nooch (ood because its not being used and I don't think I like it)

6th - cotton wool pads, 2 snap bands, random chewed paper, old train tickets (also chewed (there may be a theme here)), dinosaur toys missing heads or tails, ball for a baby (donated to neighbour)

7th - ikea bits (donated to friend), ornament I made (donated to friend's child), wooden art thing with missing bits, game (missing bits), chewed happyland figures, happyland car, old birthday cards
8th - 4 pairs school shorts (donated to school), school tights (again school), underpants (again school for spares), fake play glasses, out of date inhaler, paw patrol toy, weird headband, Christmas hat

I've also bagged odd socks and dated it today, any sock left in there in 2 weeks go in the clothing recycle thing.

A huge bin bag of rubbish, lots of recycling and a tired purps. We've also been out to the park today and I've mown the lawn so quite a productive day!

9th and 10th done by sorting out 2 crates. I can't list the things individually but there are more than 19 things disposed of and 2 crates are now empty so I'm counting 2 days.

Haven't done any today. My excuse is that as it's a bank holiday nowhere is open for things to be disposed of (charity shops, recycling centre).

Inspired by purps (but not yet achieving her rate of decluttering) so far in May I've decluttered-

Kitchen mixer, attachments, cookbook (sold via Facebook,)
Hand weights (sold via FB)
3 school skirts, 1 pair school sports shorts, 1 school sports hoody (given to school)
4 mugs, 3 bags for life (given to local shelter)
2 binbags of clothes (given to charity shop)
1 large bag of clothes (given to neighbour)

Today I'm tackling the black hole that is the back bedroom, so I'm hoping there'll be more to add to the list.

I watched The Minimalists film on Netflix yesterday. It was good, that a thing a day for a month comes from them, lots of good stuff on their website.
Good decluttering Purps and WA. I’m going on holiday Friday so will get back to it when I’m back. We actually got rid of loads of stuff when we moved, so not much to look through, but I like the idea of going through everything again and seeing whether the item brings value to my life, I want to get as minimal as feels good to me, and that’s pretty minimal!

I kind of ground to a halt a week ago, however today I spent 4 hours sorting out the garage, with a trip to the tip, so there is now a smallish room sized area for the children to play in, it means when grid is working from home the children can be either outside or in the 'playroom' and won't be making noise in the house.

Good work Purps!
I came back from holiday and went through all my underwear, socks, etc and chucked everything I don’t wear. The drawers are much easier to find stuff in. Still need to do the rest of the clothes.

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
