Excellent, well done EP.

I was thinking this morning how hard it is to let go of some things, like books you’ve had for ages, or a sofa I only got a small amount for, but once they’re gone you forget about them and it no longer matters. I think that’s why it gets easier to de clutter the more you do it.

I'm looking at music magpie etc for getting rid of a load of DVDs.

What's the most efficient way of recouping some of the £s I shelled out for them all.

Comparing the various sites gives wildly different estimates with very little logic - any experiences?

Gone a bit quiet in here - I decided that now was a good time to sort summer clothes, rootled everything out (have a terrible habit of keeping clothes for years even if they don’t get worn) and ended up with an ikea blue bag full to drop off at a charity shop and a better idea of what I had to wear in the heat. When the weather breaks, I’ll do the same for cooler weather stuff.

I shall have done some decluttering by the end of the year. Much of the house is in limbo as the young'uns have moved out but most of their stuff hasn't.

Have decluttered a fair bit by putting stuff in storage while waiting to buy a suitable house. Just got sick of the lack of space. As we pack we are getting rid of some stuff.

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
