The things we go through before chucking out an old pair of gardening shoes. My last ones went after I trodden in some cat shit.

Maybe we should start a petition no more racing t shirts, or to have an option if you don't want one to pay £2 less on your race fee or something. Then those who want them can, but not adding to the landfill or having something you will never / rarely wear, or that doesn't fit

I quite like getting a tech tee but they’re no use of they’re too big, or if they’ve run out of small sizes by the time I finish. Which is often! At least I managed to get the correct size from my favourite race this year.

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
We decided to revamp the small bedroom/glory hole, gave the bed away as it's never used, bought a couple of drawer unit to stand the printer and computers on and have the drawers for storage, we also decorated the room, to do all this meant decanting everything to the other 2 bedrooms, I am determined that only things that we need are to go back into the room, trouble is there is a lot of stuff to sort/get rid of, there are 3 boxes of 'stuff' that went into the room 5 years ago when we moved in and have never been touched! oh, and for some reason (sentimental) I have saved every greeting card that we have exchanged over the last 10+ years......

Meglet if you could chose to have or not then would be up to you . I liked the first couple I got more as a novelty but given the option I wouldn't want one for every race.
Over Xmas I got rid of three big bags of stuff. Two of kids stuff and a bag of stuff I have been holding onto for ages, can actually get in my wardrobe now

My old running shoes go straight in the bin because I run in them until they're threadbare. I'd started doing some running in the work shoes I've just disposed of, but they've been in use for years and have done gazillions of miles of walking, and I decided that the soles were too thin and the uppers too saggy even for me to run in.
I've lost my oldest pair of X-Talons. I think they may have walked themselves to the bin. They were a bit manky, but still had enough stud and rand for all but the roughest off-road conditions.

I’ll be photographing and rag-bagging quite a few race tees soon - thanks to all for the suggestion. Bikes get dirty at this time of year, and the rag/cleaning cloths need topping up.

I’m also plodding on through the newspaper piles, the spare room floor is clear of everything but the massive double parked stack of books-with-no-shelf-space, the kitchen cupboards have had the traditional new year sort out, the table top is mostly visible and I’ve bagged a second lot of shoes for charity. Still nowhere near target, but incremental improvements add up...

Have finally worked through the paperwork on my desk and on the floor of our office. Quite a lot of shreading done and the various sorted piles *just* need to make it into the files now.
