Well that was a waste of time, although it was nice to be back on the road, albeit briefly. The job we were expecting to get done hasn't been as they don't have the part - it was only raised with them 12 months ago 🤦‍♀️ - and the jobs they had down to do didn't need doing. Someone has cocked up on the jobs sheet/paperwork. That person is, so we were told, no longer working there, but it's easy to blame the absent person, isn't it.....

Nah - just there and back. I think a big motorhome is more likely to be stopped and the reason for a journey questioned than a car or camper van.

All this talk about getting vans out on the road spurred me to give mine some love today .... they need love as we all know :-) The bike rack is really mucky and covered in green stuff, so I took that off for a proper clean, first time for a few years. Greased all the door hinges and door stays, then took a deep breath and put the pop top up for the first time since last Autumn .... always a stressful moment because I'm never too sure whether the damn thing is going to work, but it went up OK and I was able to give it a bit of an airing and clean the gutter out between the awning housing and where the pop top lid seals against the body, it always gets full of leaves and rubbish there. Everything looks OK, there's a bit of a rusty mark on the bellows canvas but it came off with some Mr Muscle. I might even give it a wash tomorrow :-)

Absolutely right. I want to be spending time in it, waking up with a mountain backdrop :-(
