But the PoD is right, you can't chip every engine so you should check if it's something you think you might want to do in future.

If it’s the 1.9 84bhp engine, that’s what Nic has in her T5 and she had that remapped. The only thing I will say is those engines are renowned for spewing out white smoke in cold weather. Hers has done that for years and not really been any trouble.

I believe it can be mapped to 102 bhP easily. At first I thought that the lack of Pop top roof would not be an issue, but then someone mentioned using the space to stand and cook.
I'm considering making the guy a lower offer so then I can have the roof done later.

And you're quite tall Ronnie, so would benefit from extra headroom, I guess.

I would definitely be thinking about making a lower offer, if only because it feels like it's a wee bit over-priced. Citing the lack of pop-top might be a useful bargaining chip. That said, there seems to be a bit of a sellers' market out there at the moment.

We didn't go for the pop top when we converted ourselves. OH is 6ft 3 - our van is now going in next month for a pop top!

I guess I need to be careful. Feeling frustrated as there's nothing much like what I want available for sale.

RR My T5 was the 84 bhp version but as the company had sourced the basic van, I was able to have the remap done during the conversion.
Nobody has even been 'upstairs' in our poptop, but it's an investment for the future when we decide to sell and as others have noted, it's great to have the headroom for cooking etc.

We are going for a ride in our motorhome today. It has some work waiting to be done under warranty so we're taking it to the garage 25 miles away. We were going to cancel but they insisted that we are fine to travel for this purpose. It will be nice just to get out in it for a trip, even if it is only to the next town.
