I haven't counted how many nights away we've had, but it's quite a few. On Saturday I was RD at parkrun but the weather forecast was cloud-free on the hills so we drove up to Braemar and climbed a munro in the late afternoon, early evening. Slept the night in the van in the Glenshee Ski Centre car park. Up early and climbed three more Munros with wkp and family 😊

Are you planning to stay in the Invercauld campsite GM? It looked full when we went past, and lots of vans and tents were out along the road to Glenshee. Popular place

Yes, we’ve had it booked for months. One of our favourites. We’ve never seen vans and tents along the road to Glenshee before, but we usually go in winter.

We are definitely in double figures! We had 3 nights at Easter and 3 nights for the HD Rally plus 2 weeks on the Isle of Wight and a long weekend in Rendlesham Forest! Plus at least one weekend but more often more every month!

Be careful in that car park if it’s windy. We parked our car there to do a hill. Came back & the wind had whipped up all the wee stones to a mini tornado type thing.

It caused £8k worth of damage to our car. The garage bloke in Braemar said it wasn’t an unusual occurrence.

Omg Ally that's awful, I've not heard of that before! I will definitely watch out for that in future. The conditions at the weekend were very calm, far too hot really.

My MIL told the story to her boss & the same thing happened to him. It was like someone had walked around it with a shotgun.
