Rosehip, I have to say, the CAMC website and app search for campsites is quite poor and can be clunky. For example, the map has identifiers for each CL, which is great when planning a trip with a large paper map in front of your. But there doesn’t appear to be an easy way to search that way on the site or app (I may be missing something - it has been known!). I’ve emailed them about this incase they are accepting requests for change :)

(Rosehip, I just realised that your post probably wasn’t in reply to my post that had mentioned CLs…!).

It was sort of in reply to you and Woo, the CLs look lovely, but the booking of them isn’t

We avoided CLs when I was working, as it took too long to book them - often a phone call which wasn’t answered then waiting for a call back, which sometimes didn’t happen. Online booking at the club sites was quick and easy.
We have made more use of CLs this year but if we were going last minute, I suspect we’d be back to club sites again.

We are staying on 2 independent sites this week, before moving to a CAMC club site for the last 5 days.

Wish I had found CL's earlier before I booked it all

We are looking for a quiet, very quiet, local site to take the caravan so we can work out how to attach the awning that came with it.
It could be quite a fraught time with plenty of swearing

On our way to Grantham - should be there in under an hour. Couple of days here before heading to Yorkshire.

Still having the motorhome v caravan debate 🤣🤣

I think it depends what your doing! A motor home is much more flexible for us to use as a base for racing events and weekends away, we do a bit of wild camping, it would be much harder in a caravan!

I’m being slightly lazy but have bought a new battery from Halfords and am paying £18 for them to come out and fit it for me. It seemed cheap when I considered the hassle of trying to replace a heavy battery in the cab floor myself…

You probably don't want to hear this, but you'll pay a big premium for buying from Halfords in the first place. They really charge top dollar for batteries.
