Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

At Hopeman West Beach tonight. Blowing a hooly. Weather to improve tomorrow though. Nice enough site, but pitches are very tight. Lovely beach below us though.

jelly yes, we’re at Beach View. (Although you only get a beach view if you have one of the holiday chalets at the edge of the Eastern edge of the park). It’s been a very quiet site while we’ve been here and will probably return.

We’ve had a great couple of weeks in Netherlands and France (and one night in Bruges), and heading back to U.K. tomorrow. Could quite easily spend a few more weeks here, but OH’s work calls, sadly. Neither of us particularly want to go home!

But we’ve got a few days in Wales booked at end of July and we have been talking about a long weekend in IoW mid-August, so looking forward to those already. And already talk of another European jaunt next summer, but we’ll see.

Highlights of this trip have been Bruges (I love this city), Joure in NL on the canal boat, parkrun in Groningen (also a lovely city) and watching the TdF in Charleville Meziere.

Campsite wise, a couple of them have been larger than what we’d prefer, but they’ve served a purpose for one night, including this large one we’re staying at near Dunkirk for the early ferry back to U.K. tomorrow. But 3 of them in particular have been very good, including fresh croissants, baguettes etc available each morning. Very nice too.

We’ve a long drive back to Devon tomorrow along the dreaded A303, but it’s been a great trip.

I’ve not been to Bruges for many years but I remember it as being beautiful. Sounds like a great trip.

Sounds a great trip Big_G.
Awww, to Stan!
We've just had a couple of nights back near the Kennett and Avon canal. Really feel as though we've had a break. Canal side walks, walk up to the Pewsey Downs, pub meal - bliss!

Quiet pitch

Fabulous views
