Well, I put a deposit on a campervan yesterday. After several weeks of researching, seeing quite a few, test driving a handful, we kept on getting drawn back to this one, which is a Renault Trafic pop top, 11000 miles, 66-plate. We have to wait about a month to pick it up, but we're very excited and I'm glad to soon be the owner of a new 'van after a few years away

BG - a friend of mine bought a conversion based on a Trafic and is over the moon with it, I was sitting in just a day ago and can confirm it's very roomy. Drives nicely too.
GM - we don't normally stay at campsites unless absolutely necessary, however we've also used Glenmore in the past and do like it here. We've got quite a big day out planned for tomorrow so it will be good to get a shower etc afterwards. That's not always the case, I must admit!

Blooming fridge has packed up all the fault codes showing, and won’t work on gas, ehu or battery. New circuit board fitted about £305 😕.
On the plus side as that news was sent to me I won a years free training at my karate club with just shy of £1000 😃 so swings & roundabouts today but overall a massive win!

I noticed this week that all the spots near Burns campsite, which would often have the odd campervan parked up overnight, now have random trailers and old farm implements parked up blocking them.
I guess the number of overnighting vans probably got a bit much over the last year, which is a shame for those who have been overnighting responsibly for years.

It’s gone a bit nuts up here. A dozen vans parked up in the (no overnight parking) local NNR car park. It’s no wonder people are getting angry. But it is a shame for those of us who have been camping responsibly for years. The sooner Torremolinos reopens the better.

We’re heading to the Deep South for a dozen nights, starting Sunday. 3 nights in Keswick, a week on a farm near Gloucester and a couple of nights in Haltwhistle on the way home. Looking forward to having a break and some quality family time.
