We did the same, had a T4 loved the whole aspect of it but the van was old and we wanted new and different things. We ended up trading in the T4 and the car and getting a year old T6 which we then converted to exactly what we wanted. Having the diesel heater and the pop top was a game changer, am so glad we did it now (although the pop top needs to be replaced but that's a different story).
Keep using the van, find out what you really want and get looking to change š

Ronnie if you are interested in something that drives like a car maybe think about an Alphard? I could invite you to the Facebook group if you like? They are cheaper than VWs too.

Just been to see a California. Seriously tempted to trade in both the car and the van and have that as our only vehicle. Only issue is ordering today would be for delivery in March.

Iām quite tempted by an alphard when I come to replace my aging merc.
I only want one vehicle but like the idea of not being tied to hotels. Plenty of places to stealth park.

With a new one it is just like driving a car. I love my T6 and can't imagine having a car again

Which dealers did you go to Ronnie? The California forum gives good info on the good and the bad dealers.

Good idea. A new Cali is a big investment.
