26.49 for fake parkrun for me today. I’ll log my time tomorrow. It was very windy again, but I’m sure some of you will claim it’s character building. To be honest, it just makes me knackered.

Still, when all said & done, with what’s been going on this year, I’m pleased I can still get out for a run 🏃🏼‍♂️ & am keeping a reasonable level of fitness.

Ran my fakeparkrun in the late afternoon sun, returning to the new Auld Railway course. I rather went for it and was around 5:30 faster than on Monday! More than a bit surprised, I'd reckoned that 4 off would have been very good going. Fastest five km in six months by quite a stretch.

It was all going well on my fake parkrun this morning. A slight chill but this was quickly forgotten as I zoomed up the hill. This was going to be one of the quicker ones.

But then, almost at the halfway point, a horse appeared. Then another, and another. I soon deduced I was in the middle of a hunt.

Finally the horses disappeared, but then there were the endless land rovers and range rovers.
Completely losing my momentum I staggered around the rest of the course to finish in a disappointing 26:51.
You dont get this on Exmouth Esplanade.

That's frustrating HT, but at least they didn't decide to hunt you instead (although that may have led to a PB) :-)

This week's fake park run? The first ones mostly Portland, a few others may be 'mainland' but all in the area.

27.16 for me this morning. Very happy with that considering did a similar 5k yesterday.

24:54 for me on a nice undulating route. I think the cooler weather helped me keep the effort levels up.

Went for a run today and not really feeling the love but managed a 29.39 so happy enough.
