Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My newt is that we are away camping with my nephew and his wife for the first time ever. They are in their tent and us in our camper van on the same site as each other. We’ve had a good first day with lots of laughs.

As the choosinator from yesterday's (and all previous) newts I had to draw up a shortlist as there were some lovely ones. But the picture of halfpint's new bike nudged that newt over the line for me - with everything going on at the moment sometimes 'having' a new thing rather than just 'doing' a new thing is just that little extra lift. Enjoy getting out and about on it hp :-)

Aw thanks BBL. It’s a lovely shiny newt thing but it’s the possibilities that it offers that I’m most excited about.

First fit test at boot camp. I’m not sure that’s a newt I was desperate for but it’s done

Great kudos to you. I hate and avoid fit test and it's made me cry in the past.

I shall start a new book later

Funeral today (a friend of my wife and former colleague of mine - nice lady, but not a close friend or anything. Sad loss for her family and close friends of course - only 65, cancer). Think it's a newt to be at a funeral of someone my own generation. Been to grandparents and parents funerals but not similar age to me I don't think.

Actually it's not a newt if it's not something you want to do to improve your spring, is it? Not really appropriate. Soz!

No need to apologise, Happy. It’s a sobering thing to do for the first time, but you are right to acknowledge it.

About This Thread

Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
