There are some nice designs there, Dipps. I like the look of those - and the capris and shorts.

Early newt here too, sweet peas have started to germinate, I have relocated them to the kitchen windowsill.

Can only say flancis don’t budge sizing is true and fully swat proof. Sadly don’t get paid to say this but I pay them often 😂

Early newt here too. My cross training is lacking beyond running and stretching today I did a full body workout. Felt it but feel great.

Ohhh why did I look at bamboo!! They look lovely too. I don’t like the overly bright tikiboo leggings Lucy lockers have gone that way it’s why I love Flanci. Now other options to share the spends with.

I can’t keep up with this thread! Probably my only newt today will be to start another book - I finished The Midnight Library late last night. Loved it.

Sturdies remain my favourites. By far the best fit on me, and a short leg length option because I'm not going to do the Nora Batty thing when I'm running, not even slightly. But they don't do skorts.

Three different radio stations for me this morning. True to my word I tried Radio 3 instead of the Today Prog on R4. When Brahms didn't really cut it I switched to R4 briefly and rounded it off with (gulp) Alan Carr sittinginforZoeBall on R2. Oooh - an exclusive: the new Steps and Michelle Visage collaboration. Such fun! Followed by an interview with Louise Rednapp. All a bit Strictly don't you think?

Am feeling nicely populist and mainstreamiddleaged this morning. Get me.

Morning jinglers.

I made (vegan) Welsh cakes this morning (well, I made the dough last night, but I rolled it out and fried them this morning), so that's a bit of a newt - first time this year.

Also I've collected the panini style sticker album for my Brussels rugby club and some starter packs of stickers (I shall nip out at lunchtime and get more from the place near the office that is selling them. I haven't got one of me yet). I've never been a collectable sticker before, so that's also a bit of a newt.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
