Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ooh I've got a new newt (newt newt?) I managed to get a.. ahem ... very structured sports bra on OVER MY HEAD. Basically I couldn't do the bugger up so I thought I'd give it a go. I have literally never done this before.

My newt is that I've ordered a SKORT - my first ever (SS for bringing this back up again; the bow came slightly loose).

My newt for today is that I’m building a new compost heap next to the old one so that I can turn it over and get to the good stuff at the bottom. Before I’ve always just “mined” the single heap with mixed results! Feeling very organised. Oh, and knackered from a morning’s digging!

My newt for today. On my walk along the disused railway line/footpath to Aldi I saw a jay. Wasn’t quick enough to get my phone out to take a picture. Was lovely to see. Although I’d never heard their call before. Rather screechy and crow like, as you’d expect, I suppose.

Also bought a couple of bars of chocolate I haven’t tried before so I can have a block or two when I have a craving for it in the evenings. This....

I've taken out AA road assistance cover - our car is 9 years old and we don't use it much but I do (in normal times) go on a long journey down to Alice's house occasionally. Previously, we've been covered by Volvo assistance (and used it zero times), but I've stopped taking my car to the Volvo garage to get it serviced so that cover has ended.

Don't let that AA policy auto-renew, GM. I have reason to know this. I only cottoned on to how much I was being ripped off when the cost of my AA breakdown cover exceeded my car insurance.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
