Morning

Hill sprints and strides sounds like P&D @riggys99? Hope the car sailed through the MOT. Dog ok?

By your blog you have had a tough few days @Derby Tup . Hope you can get out there today.

Enjoy the yoga @lin50 .

How was the physio @alehouse ?

Hope the track session went well @Unsafe Breadbin . 10k on the track sounds tough.

Oh - another race @ElspethF! I missed that somehow.

@Ness : good luck too. And any other racers this weekend.

@RFJ: oh no - I hope you are feeling better today.

@Rosehip : sorry to hear about the ballot rejection.

Enjoy the mud training @Dustin

What: running rest day - will likely do some minor exercise of some sort though
Why: postponed MLR to Sunday as will now have time for it then

Lyrics: also lost on this one

@HazelnutCH I had about eight hours solid sleep last night which has helped. Thanks

Morning!

Thanks for asking about the physio, @HazelnutCH ! He is pleased with progress, but still a long way to go! Need more work to strengthen the glutes and quads. Can now introduce the rowing machine. May help to get my heart rate up; have become very unconditioned!

What: stretches and strengthening, plus probably something like 4 x one minute slow run.

Why: rehab, as per physio advice

Lyrics: no

Hiya
Rehab always seems like slow progress Ale, but you'll get back there. I bet you miss the weekly run with your MV75 friend too.

Autumn - good luck on Sunday
Those taking a run free day, enjoy the exercises/sleep/walks/yoga as applicable!

What - easy lunchtime pootle
Why - minimalistic Friday

last rest - 05/08
last hard - Tuesday probably, but good that the trails were beginning to soften up in yesterday's deluge. Grassy hill reps tomorrow rather than track. Well it's 5 weeks to xc season!
lyric - nope

Yes, @Dustin , certainly missing the runs with M79! He is 80 next April and I was supposed to be helping him get ready for the next age group!

And thanks, @Autumnleaves !

About This Thread

Maintained by riggys99
The Daily Thread

Each day someone sets some song lyrics, often on a particular theme, eg colours, numbers, running, etc. Others then say whether they know the song or not, but DO NOT say what the song is: the answer is revealed the next day.

Current theme: COLOURS

Contributors then say
What their training will be
Why they are doing it

Some also say
Last hard
Last rest

Plus of course general comments about the weather, other people’s training or races…illness or injuries!

Feel free to join us and why not set some lyrics once you get the hang of the thread?
