It's great isn't it, riding along a road just before or after a race comes through. It's a roadside party and you get to feel part of it!

I did a little blog, with a wee bit more detail, and a pic:

2 flats this morning - same tyre.
First one changed by the side of the road, tyre came off easy as you like. Found a tiny sliver of glass which I assumed to be the culprit, whack in my spare tube and off I go.
However, it seems like that tiny sliver of glass wasn't the sole culprit, because it happened again.
Second one, I've huffed and puffed and done everything I can, and there's no way to get a tyre lever under the tyre. None at all. No idea what I'm doing wrong, but it's just not budging.

Honestly on the verge of chucking the thing in the river.

Are they decent wheels? Don't chuck them away, I'll have 'em :-)

Ah, I see. Well, I feel your pain - some tyres are buggers to get off. You'll get there, use an old blunt screwdriver if you absolutely have to.

p.s. Just my opinion, but one probably shared by all the veloheads here ...... take the reflectors off :-)

Are they tubeless ready rims? A different tyre lever can help.

I’ve got a nifty tool called a tyre glider which is great for getting tyres back on, it does act as a tyre lever too but it’s less good at that.

I’ve seen people on the telly just put their hand up and a car and mechanic appear at their side and hand them a replacement wheel. Seems like a good system.
