Nice 32 miles today - couldn’t get the route loaded onto my GPS, so I just made it up as I went along

Good stuff. Headed out to explore some of the new cycle lanes built around NE Leeds. Really quite good, with proper segregation from motor traffic. A few minor niggles, but a strong step in the right direction, and it showed with the range of people and cycle types out using it, stress free.

That’s impressive that there are already people using it seeing as it’s only been open a week! Can you access it from Thorner? I used to ride that way and cross the A64 to Scholes but it looks like the road is closed, to cars at least.

Q for the group - has anyone ever been refused on the train with a bike? Contemplating some cycle out and train back rides.

I haven't personally, but have witnessed 2 blokes with bikes being turned away at Manchester Oxford Rd - to be fair it was a very busy commuter train. Our local station advises checking in advance.

Depends on the train and the operator. Some you have to prebook.
