strange question... can the fatigue from post covid be treated like exercise fatigue
I mean if mid run/walk/bike you feel a drop in energy will the use of gels/energy drink make a difference? I am assuming it will?
I'm in an odd place now ... my lack of training has reduced my fitness and I am unsure how much of the lack of energy is now post covid or fitness dropped! If it's fitness then doing more will bring it back up but if it's covid doing more could make it worse!

Pix - I would say no. Otherwise sugar would be the cure for long Covid.
I would just make sure you've fuelled adequately for what exercise you're doing and refuel post exercise.

EP nothing helps the fatigue from Covid, sometimes conscious relaxation helps but sometimes not even a nights sleep helps.

I agree with Shades - I tested negative on March 31 and for three weeks I haven’t really able to run without a higher HR than usual (about 10bpm). I “think” I’m getting slowly better and I’m pretty confident I’ll be back to three runs a week this week.

I managed 15 minutes of continuous running without having to back off due to wheezing or feeling I needed a break. Am very happy.

Well that's me in the Covid club. Felt a bit flu like earlier in week, negative LFT, tooth extraction on Wed - so thought that why was feeling pants yesterday, still very ropy today, took a test this morning and got a positive so booked and went for a PCR at lunchtime. Standing by for that one.

Just got back from my 4th jab at the Royal London.
Aside from the actual needle itself, it was a great experience. Spoke at length with the team (2 doctors, 1 nurse) and they were asking a lot of Q's about my experiences of C19 and LC. It's probably the first time I felt like I've genuinely been listened to. The lead doc was very open about the fact that there's likely to be very little that can be done for some of the systemic damage that I've suffered - which isn't itself great news, but it's kind of what I expected, and it's good to finally have that confirmed. He's going to speak to my GP and rheumatologist to see if they can get a concrete strategy for any further boosters that may be needed.

That sounds much more constructive Andy.

I’m glad that you’re being listened to Andy; and good to have some clarity on the damage already done.
