My mum and my mil both live alone. Can they both bubble with us at different times?

I think it is one person has to pick one bubble but technically if two people both like your bubble risk can hardly be much more and for extra safety deep clean before and after each bubble with you? Might be bending the rules but how do you pick one over the other.

But then how is it not ok to then have 2 people (parents) come to stay with 2 people. It’s all bloody ridiculous and makes little sense once you think it through.

It works well for me. My mother in law lives very close. Now we can share a meal, spend the evening together, and I can drive her to places.
No other family members are geographically close, and my parents are not alive... and I can see that makes it a straightforward decision.

Bubble brings to mind the series 2 'Big Brother' contender. Apart from a walk-on in 'The Office' Christmas special, he seems little elevated by the experience.
Irony not lost etc. ....

I'm trying to persuade my MiL that she'd like to bubble with my BiL so that he can visit from London but she wants it to be us though I've said that we can continue with the outdoor meetings if she does choose him.

Our family whatsapp group was a hoot yesterday evening. My sister in law (single, lives alone) has decided to bubble with us so she can see more of her nephews. It got rather silly (in a good humoured way) asking her to choose between us and her parents.
I'm not bubbling with my mum as I think it's too risky for her even though she is technically vulnerable rather than shielding.

I have to admit that my sister in law - single, lives opposite us - has bubbled with us from the start. We always agreed if one of us went down we all isolated, and we haven't mixed with anyone else.

We offered for my sister in law to move in at the start of lockdown.
