I use touch to connect with my patients.
Last year there was an initiative to reduce cardiac arrest situations by actually touching patients instead of using remote monitors and not touching them. Reduced arrests by quite a bit

I miss hugs with family not in my household
I miss the all-enveloping hug of a couple of very dear male friends with whom a hug is warm and safe and no lifting off my feet is involved I don't miss being expected to hug (ex) colleagues because it's expected nor the power hugs from male acquaintances/ex colleagues I miss the hugs of dear friends and those which signify the joyous meeting of Fetchies.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I’m quite glad I’m not a hugger. The only person I like making physical contact with is my husband, I’d be quite happy not to ever touch anyone else.
