I find the 20% of people with Covid having been to a supermarket surprisingly low, given the requirement to do so for basic survival, suggesting that supermarkets are not a problem.

I barely go to the supermarket much these days, just get a delivery every few weeks and plan meals in advance.

I rarely go to a big supermarket. Five minutes in the local Co-op is all I've done for months now (plus the usual monthly Tesco deliveries, which is a 20+ year habit).

I go to the supermarkets once a week. First to Tesco for my Dad's stuff, then on the way back from dropping off his stuff a Lidl's run. I go early, 7.15 for Tesco and then in Lidl just after 8.00am.

I go to Lidl once a fortnight. WW goes to Waitrose on the alternate week. Apart from running we barely leave the house otherwise.

(Slight exception for decorating supplies this month)

Personally, I wouldn't worry about visiting a shop even semi-regularly.

Crossing the road (in general) probably carries a greater risk.

Its one of the most dangerous things we do
