um
The local Tescos had an oubreak 2 weeks ago ... variously reported as about 20 staff positive, 80 to 'hundreds' of staff self isolating. No other, or more recent details shared.
No outpourings (that I have seen) of 'I caught covid at Tesco' locally either.

So I think it re-inforces that 1 case can spread & multiply rapidly ...

Tesco delivery due today. May take more care than usual to quarantine stuff ...

The chatter from my work is that we dont ever expect to be back in the office in the way we used to be. I know that in the time we have been WFH the lease on one building has expired and so we already have a population of people who wouldnt have a desk if we returned.

I would expect to be at home for the foreseeable future, at least until vaccine rollout is complete and even then I think the office will be a hub for collaboration type stuff apart from the small numbers who either cannot WFH or need to be in the office.

ONS release today on compliance with Covid rules. On the question: "Stayed at home or only left for exercise, work, essential shopping or medical reasons", 62% answered yes. Which suggests 38% are not complying with the rules.

ONS headlines this as 'high compliance'. I beg to differ, surely.

Small bit of good news for those in Wales, you can exercise with one person from another household (I missed when that starts from).

I don't have the Scottish track and trace app. If I did, I am not sure that I'd imprison myself for ten days without knowing precise details of the alleged close contact.

Rumours of even stricter rules for Scotland. Separate bedrooms maybe? Tents in the garden?

Sounds about right ToF, really tiresome when you have been complying for the last 10 months

um, our Asda delivery driver last week said that several colleagues had caught it, and were until enough to call an ambulance. Only middle ages too. We were a bit more careful with our shopping, just in case.

I read that about even stricter rules in Scotland but struggle to see what they would actually be. Lots of construction and roadworks on the go, but I am not sure if thats really high risk unless they huddle in a portacabin at break times.

I assume some people may be working in offices which could be stopped

That said there is still an awful lot of traffic on the road which I cannot quite get my head around the reasons for.
