anthonyj89, I think you're in my area - agree that I see very few teens around. My daughter (15) hasn't left the flat since December 19th!

Calf on the mend, so managed more than two hours birdwatching today (a fair bit static though). Looking forward to getting out for even longer soon. So good for mental health.

Rosehip
Agree that most people I see out and about are generally older than I am.
Had my first "lets tutt and blame the jogger" today, woman gave me a "look" and deliberately wrapped her scarf over her face as I ran by (about 2m away)

If it hadn't been so windy, she would be more in danger from the couple walking in front of her, that she'd probably been following for a fair distance along the path.

It's not fair that in some areas people in their 50s are being called up and yet mum still hasn't been able to get hers, however, my eldest probably needs it more since he has more than one risk factor and is out servicing ventilators etc all day. No news when he'll get his as they're not classed as health workers.

We have only got 40% of over 80's done in our area, it does seem unfair that other areas are rolling out to the next age groups down.

A friend of ours also does a similar job as your eldest Rosehip, he also hasn't had his vaccine.

Wow a lot of posts. I will just say...for the 2nd wave, the govt doesn't even have the excuse of it all being new, taken by surprise, etc etc.

What we are enjoying now are the direct consequences of the decision to open things up while all experts were screaming danger, because Boris wanted to "save Christmas". This was entirely deliberate.

Don't think it was that strategic rf, more just the reactive balancing act they thought would be acceptable.

80+ FiL had pfizer jab, was told next one will be in 4 weeks. Glad he will have some level of protection as he is in and out of hospital for various things.
