Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If deploying the vaccinein this way reduces throughflow into hospitals, there are a) fewer people who need ventilators / ICU beds and b) fewer decisions as to which people get the ventilators and which people just die.

Another recommendation for "how to vaccinate the world" podcast on BBC Sounds. A weekly series - it's very good

Oh LG, sorry to hear that. It's easy to forget some very tragic individual stories.

I said before I think the message should be Vaccinate - Isolate, not Vaccinate and Party.

I wonder if they've been hesitant about popularising the "vaccinate - isolate" message for fear that people wouldn't come forward as willingly if they thought their daily lives wouldn't be changing post-vaccination.

I saw one bloke in a vaccine centre on TV last night exemplifying that - something along the lines of "I've hardly left the house since March last year, but I've come out for this because it means I'll be able to get out to the shops more".

Very sad LG. Heard last night my cousin in law’s sister died from it she can only be early-mid 60’s

So that is 2 people I know of who’ve died this time as well as 2 others from the disaster that was wave 1 where they sent covid+ patients to care homes
