What is the current thinking on how infection is caught? Still hands, face, space (lack of)?
What became of the suggestion that wearing glasses gives some protection?

Spent half the day training for lateral flow testing at school and got to test a few staff guinea pigs. All a bit chaotic as school only got the information a little bit before we did but it was up and working by the time we left. Should have been doing this in September really but I don’t think the stuff was available back then perhaps.
Now to see if they actually go back to school...

Space! This has been severely lacking in some supermarkets recently: many people plainly have stopped giving any type of fuck whatsoever about it. Staff, as well as customers. Even places with some form of capacity limitation (eg Aldi, Tesco) - although queues were forming (14 at Aldi): plainly too many in the shop. Not helped by staff parking cages in the middle of aisles. At one point in Aldi I was hemmed in with five staff and two other customers in around a two-metre square. This made me particularly edgy as I have recently started work in a warehouse which is very hot on distancing. Having seven other people in the space where I'd have zero at work - eep!
And masks. My sympathy with mask refusers is now pretty much zero. If I am wearing one for about ten hours, I can't see how others can't wear one for a few minutes. Am I being judgemental? Yes, absolutely. There may be a small numbers of extreme cases, but a lot more making a selfish excuse, and some who just don't even go to that bother. Lidl/Home Bargains last week. 8/5 without masks (not including quite a few staff). Most I have seen. Every single one was female. What's going on? "Alternative health" messaging? Pretty alternative indeed if you catch, or spread Covid.

I think allowing the loophole of "invisible disabilities" for mask wearing at the start was a huge error of judgment and it would have been much more useful to have provided information and advice about becoming accustomed to the sensation of wearing a mask and learning not to fiddle with it.

Dvorak - the parking pallets and cages in aisles plus people leaving a trolley next to them while they wander along the aisle is something that I have never got my head around.

I have been practising exercising outdoors with a mask on, just in case it becomes mandatory. It's odd, but not unbearable.
