Just thankful that exercise not restricted time-wise in Scotland. I wouldn't have wanted to break the law, but would have done for the sake of my mental health. Mercifully, not an issue.

this all goes back to people saying March was illegal and taking action that (if I recall correctly) was agreed by the courts
so instead of action now there is a delay of 2-4 days

which explains the "things will get tougher in due course" but will also bring complaints about not moving quickly

I've just told my son that he won't be going to school tomorrow what ever Boris says tonight - he's pretty upset - bloody typical - can't please him either way - doesn't like school but doesn't want to be kept off school!

There was never any restrictions on length of exercise last time I just hope that remains in any future restrictions. Even if it becomes restricted to only once per day again.

AJLB - from a few pages back, sorry, I don't think I explained myself properly. I wasn't suggesting that was the case during the March lockdown, I was referring to the fact that under the latest Tier 4 restrictions in Wales, places of worship are allowed to remain open and conduct indoor services, but in addition to all organised sporting activity being prohibited, you are not even allowed to meet outside with anyone who isn't in your household. I believe that you are allowed to meet with one person outdoors in Tier 4 regions of England, and from what I've just read on the news even under the stricter lockdown coming in for Scotland, this will be allowed. I was just surprised that our rules were so strict on outdoor interactions, but still permitted certain indoor interactions.

However, I do appreciate that what I said probably came across as a bit of an ill thought through rant, and it certainly wasn't meant to be an attack on religion, so I do apologise. I do also appreciate that many/most places of worship do provide a lot of community support, and that measures have been taken to make them as covid-secure as possible.

jenny it's a fair comment
in this age most people who visit churches are more mature
religion isn't cool
and it's been proven in multiple countries that "church visits" spread infection
