NR - they may do, but as I don't have any prescriptions and can't remember when I last made an appointment it's not something I've ever looked into!

I looked it up and CHI number in Scotland is equivalent to NHS number in England

Guys it's not a national thing that you need your nhs number so please don't panic. Nhs care does not depend on you presenting numbers or id or anything. I am nhs staff and my individual trust's internal booking portal requires it as part of the online form. If you need vaccination for clinical reasons the nhs will provide it without making you jump through admin hoops. If you work for a different trust their system may be different.

Yorkshire Pie, I envy your obvious good health😊 and long may it continue! I would certainly like to bother my GP less than I do

Yeah sorry if I caused confusion regarding the nhs number
I'm getting the jab as an over 50 patient facing member of staff through my trust and the list of things we need to take are nhs number, gp details, staff id, face covering, pen and wear short sleeves!

I didn't know there was an NHS app other than the covid one.
Our practice uses an online booking/prescription service - but they've changed it at least once and my login no-longer works. Seing as we had to go into the building to collect a paper code from the desk when we first registered for it, I'm wondering how to re-register now. And I don't have the patience to sit in the phone queue all day to find out!

After reading this thread this afternoon I've added the NHS app and registered. Will be interested to see if it's more straightforward for ordering repeat prescriptions.

As have I, and now I have a note of my nhs number which I found on an appointment letter.

Details on my history are so sparse that I’ve actually recorded everything in there on the back of a race number before now.
