Too Much Water
Schools I can understand, but I don’t see the logic for unis. From a personal point of view, with my house sale due to go through at the end of November I expect this to be delayed again, and I will still have a job to do as I mainly pay school cleaners who will still be attending work. I am not sure I can do this from home but I need someone to unlock the office for me as not a key holder. As ever with the “leak to the press” strategy, it’s not worth getting too worked up until the detail has fully flushed through |

Bazoake I have been in two cafes in Edinburgh and two in Fife this week. All felt absolutely fine. If you're concerned though, do a lower risk house meet-up maybe |

But Boris said trick or treat is ok DT. Baz - we can't sit at the same table as someone who isn't in our household or bubble in a cafe or restaurant. Fireworks were very noticeable here last night DocM. |

Bazo my issue exactly we went out with my parents for a meal last week and were on 2 tables closer than if we sat at the dining table in their house or ours. It was safe we felt safe and mentally it was nice to do something that felt almost normal but at home I know it’s been disconnected to best and again in either house the visiting couple would have their own toilet. In the bar I could see the toilets and no-one went in to clean them after use. (I had my own anti-bac wipes so I could use them for all touch points in and out)

This is a pretty good explanation of coronavirus transmission and why meeting people indoors is so much more of a problem. english.elpais.com |

- you must have big dining tables gg! Wherever I've been out with mum for a pub lunch, tables have been removed and chairs at different tables have been over 1M apart. They have all been good at keeping doors and windows open too - we're putting on winter woolies to eat out now and have been suffering with cold feet. (Mum is bubbled with us, so counts as same household) |

I met a friend for coffee yesterday, the first 'outing' toa lublic place for her since March. Local cafe/bar/restaurant. Order and pay by app. We sat outside, over 2m apart, wearing masks. There was no requirement for anyone else to do the same. The difference is that we both worked in hospital during the first wave and certain fears/behavioural responses get under the skin. Local numbers are going up fast and we were both reacting to that. I didn't think about the difference until after I got home last night, but it reflects my anxiety level right now. |

if you go out with someone to eat you are likely to spend less time with them than if you went to their house for a meal. and the time spent together is alll part of the risk
