From that article ^ it would seem that *time* is possibly the important difference between meeting in a cafe/pub for lunch and visiting other households.

How many family meetups in the home would be, say 90 mins-2 hrs or less?

Tim. We are not allowed to meet in houses but we are in cafes. We could sit in my garden in the rain though.

We are allowed two household at a table of six though. Bonkers.

Good news though is that there is little virus spread in Edinburgh so although the setting doesn’t feel great there is low risk.

I think the language issue is misleading. There are some people who don't speak/read English, but very few households where no English is spoken/read.

Eating out from my experience feels fairly safe, also most restaurants are limiting the time you can stay to 90 mins to 2 hours.

I wouldn’t want to sitting outside on a day like today, very wet and windy.

I’ve only eaten out when sitting outside (so not since mid September)

Haircut today as I imagine that may be closed next week

eL Bee! and I were planning a few days in another part of England from Thursday, including some socially distanced family visiting and meeting someone for outdoor exercise. I'm guessing that's going to be off :(
