Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I wanted to amend the poll on the right, positive LFT this week, it doesn’t allow me to remove No.

um
Mrs J - just click the box you want. That (does for me) selects that and removes the No

I ticked the PCR confirmed positive even though I only took an LFT.

Yeah I think a lot of us have counted LFT as equivalent to PCR once the latter were less available. I certainly did.

I feel like a lab rat. The NHS has sent me a letter saying that my medical records show I might be suitable for Covid treatment and have sent me a free testing kit! Anyone else received something similar?

Yep. I've had that letter (again) recently.

I had the antiviral treatment about a year ago, during my second infection - whisked into hospital, half an hour or so sitting in a comfy chair with a needle in my arm, and being looked after by lovely people (honestly, Emirates business class could learn a lot from Mile End hospital :) - then whisked home.

Did it help? Probably, but hard to be sure. Compared to my first case (March 2020), the acute phase was *far* less unpleasant and over far quicker - but I'd also had 4 vaccinations by that point too. I certainly don't think it did me any harm.

No observed effect on my long covid, though.
