I had the antiviral treatment about a year ago, during my second infection - whisked into hospital, half an hour or so sitting in a comfy chair with a needle in my arm, and being looked after by lovely people (honestly, Emirates business class could learn a lot from Mile End hospital - then whisked home. Did it help? Probably, but hard to be sure. Compared to my first case (March 2020), the acute phase was far less unpleasant and over far quicker - but I'd also had 4 vaccinations by that point too. I certainly don't think it did me any harm. No observed effect on my long covid, though.
