I had that letter (by email) and received tests. When I had covid last June I also had a course of Paxlovid antivirals.
Suspect I'm fighting off some infection at the moment (sore throat, cough, tired [have spent a lot of the day talking today though]) but lft is negative

Not so much as 'suitable for treatment' run free, as deemed 'at high risk' from severe infection. I assume it's this you've been linked to? nhs.uk

Also bear in mind being eligible for treatment doesn't mean you actually get treatment, my wife did not (despite meeting all criteria on the link above) and had a very rough time of it at home without antivirals.

Thanks Um. That does clarify. The cancer treatment puts me into a certain demographic.

I finally caught Covid last year November and it lasted for 5 days though had a strange head pain that lasted until January. It was the same strange head pain after having had the second jab which lasted for a couple of weeks and then after with the booster it lasted for a couple of months.

Told my GP after the booster who thought it was coincidental...... anyway I refused to have the fourth jab.

I’m having a booster today as recommended by a NHS alert . There’s a bit of a discussion going on in social media about the safety of vaccines, I try not to let worry me but still it does🙄

I think it's quite clear by now that the Covid jab is safe.

Only a certain demographic i.e. 20 year old males have an increased risk of myocarditis.

And it is worth noting these cases of myocarditis heal without sequelae.

So don't worry.

I had 4 of them, the second one gave me a night of vomiting, the others one just one day of fatigue and a slight headache.

I was very sick after my fourth jag. Previously a sore arm and a bit wabbit but otherwise fine

I was also very sick about a week before I tested positive for covid.

The vomiting was very unpleasant both times and I am wary of getting my next jag. I will get it but more vomiting and that may be it for me.

Moreover it's clear enough that covid itself has left a lot of people with significant long-term health problems. No question which risk I'd rather take!

Plenty of things are far riskier than the vaccines but we just accept them because they're not blown up on social media. I'm pleased you're not being put off from your booster, UD.
