Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

LindsD - hopefully he can have the booster.

UD - I'm thinking that it may be treated like flu (which as far as I'm aware isn't on the WHO emergency list) so a smaller group may be given boosters... (speaking as someone who is now immunosuppressed)

I had my Spring booster on Tuesday afternoon and had a pretty severe reaction to it yesterday afternoon, though I'd been fine with all the others, apart from sore arm.
Flu type symptoms - chills, shivers etc. It was a glorious day yesterday but I had PJs, hoodie and under the duvet and was still shivering. OH fed me paracetamol at regular intervals and told me this morning that I was "pretty weird" at times! Feeling fine this morning though,

The nurse did warn me I might have reaction this time even if I hadn't before as they are always tweaking the vaccines as they gather more information about current variants.

I’ve now had a standard letter invitation for a booster if I’m over 75 or immunosuppressed. I’m not either so seems a bit of a waste of resources

Not surprising but I hadn't seen the flu jab news previously either, now extended to covid jabs:

mirror.co.uk

(No longer being given to all over-50s this winter as they were for the last couple of years.)

If available for a modest fee I'll probably pay for it like I was with flu anyway prior to the last few years.
