Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Managed to get boosters booked for me and hubby on Saturday. Nothing too local but less than an hour’s drive away so not too bad. As I’ve already had COVID I’m not so worried about myself but keen to get him boosted :)

Pix - I'd ensure you set your own safety rules, what you're comfortable with.
Like an LFT before you start, and insisting on mask wearing, if that's what you want. Windows open, no close contact etc etc.

(not quite the same, but I had little hesitation telling my family I wouldn't contemplate an indoor pub/restaurant meal at our Xmas meet up.)

[I doubt a new joiner in their first week will feel confident enough to assert their own safety rules so agree with Um, set the tone]

Oh never Pix I also got some last week. Done mine today having been away at weekend and off for a spa day all clear on LFT. I know they’re not 100% guaranteed but I like the peace of mind it gives me.

"Dept of Health sources clarify that the promise on boosters is to “offer” them by end of December not “deliver” them. Confusion stemmed from PM saying last night that eligible adults in England “will have the chance to get their booster before the New Year” #Booster #vaccine"

Another instance of the trolley acting fast and loose with the truth.
