I would also have challenged the need to be in the office at all. Yes I know its better but technology means its not necessary. We are going to my BiLs on Thursday as my niece is 20. he has just asked that we all do LFTs before we go which is fair enough although not sure how we will get MiL to do a test. Most of the same group will be at ours on Christmas day and I plan to ask for LFTs then as well.

I think as a policy they see it as a "must" if you can, but I know lots of offices are taking it as an option and arguing it's the last week before Christmas and "stuff just needs to get done".
