Where are these cases getting reported Bazo? I’ve not noticed anything. There’s always been a trickle of sportspeople with heart issues of course.

Nhs England gave me a message today telling me they have no LFT packs to send out. I should try again later apparently. This is my usual method of ordering. I went to the chemist instead and got some

Victor Lindelof at the weekend and it references Aguero and Erikssen https://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrIdVtiP7dhbR4A3jgM34lQ;_ylu=Y29sbwNpcjIEcG9zAzEEdnRpZAMEc2VjA3Nj/RV=2/RE=1639428067/RO=10/RU=https%3a%2f%2fwww.msn.com%2fen-gb%2fsports%2ffootball%2fvictor-lindelof-breathing-struggles-gave-david-de-gea-serious-cause-for-concern%2far-AARIH2X/RK=2/RS=P7Nfj5.a00LXfSbT0hoomTK5kYk- Ive seen elsewhere long lists of reports of less well known sports people but no idea if they are all true or not |

There have been increasing reports of sports people who have some sort of heart issues. It could be that this is in line with normal but they are just being reported I have read elsewhere that the anti vaxxers are indicating the vaccine is to blame. I am wondering if in fact its people who have had covid and there is some undiagnosed impact that puts them at increased risk. There doesnt seem to be much in the media on this but for us as a group of people who take part in activities that put a stress on the cardio system, is this something we should be thinking about ? anecdotally i have been hearing of numbers of professional sports people declining the vaccine as they are worried about interruption to their training due to 24hrs of feeling off post vaccine, this might mean a disproportionate number of them get infected resulting in heart issues |

When I had myocarditis in 2015, I couldn't find out much about the cause except an interesting study on extreme skiers (Sweden I think). To cut a long story short after some young deaths they introduced a regime where they had to rest longer after catching virus such as flu to avoid the thankfully rare myocarditis, which tends to have a worse outcome in younger men than oldies like me. This seemed to resolve their problem Similarly, If you can wade through these there are some studies.. nature.com google.com |

Team I am moving too - my new boss shielded for a while last year messaged her ... conclusion we'll both wear masks and do daily LFT and she was really grateful that I thought about her different team different ideas - so glad I am moving |
