An awful lot of parents have stopped wearing masks at the school gate (outside, admittedly, but pretty crowded) - from c. 95% to c. 50% in just a couple of weeks...

I'm sure it's a very good idea for me to be doing a normal clinic but occasionally popping into the COVID room in very basic PPE (which is all we have now) to examine someone. Totally sure. Not feeling more at risk of infection than I have at any time since the pandemic started despite being vaccinated.

V'rap - I'm double jabbed and have antibodies from infection (you were right Canute) but am still not at all convinced that I can't catch it and end up with long Covid (which is my fear).

Maybe it’s time to wear a t-shirt which states “I am wearing a mask to protect you, please wear one to protect me” Probably a bit OTT.

The answer would be “don’t bother on my account, I don’t need your protection”. Emotional blackmail really doesn’t work in those cases. They are simply not scared of Covid (maybe had it, maybe jabbed already) and think anyone who is, is a bit sad.

I think it’s just a case of common decency really. I don’t think that a mask protects me.

Bob!
Costa is going with masks not required.

Customers and team members will no longer be required to wear a face covering or leave contact details for NHS contact tracing services, and more tables will be available for you to use both inside and outside our stores.
